First day of school

Jude and Jax discussing the first day of school.

Jude started pre-school this year. He goes Monday Wednesday and Thursday for 3 hours. He is really liking school and his teacher Miss Kathy said that he is a good student and is doing really well. Jude was great, he handled his first day of school much better than Burke or me. Burke held it together, barely, and I busted out crying as soon as I walked out of the classroom door. Jude just looked at us and said OK mom see you later. It was awful....for me.

Summer is here

It is official, summer started Labor day weekend not Memorial weekend like usual. Seriously, we have not had this many nice days in a row all summer....LOVE IT!

Harvest Festival

Every child at harvest festival got a kite...Jude was thrilled, he got a dinasour kite, what could be better...ok, maybe a pirate kite. Any how, it was fun flying the kite and Jax crawled all over and watched.

Home made ice cream

This picture is for my Dad.... These people were serious about their home made ice cream even more than a Cope. I should have asked...they might have been realated, HA! Anyway, they had this little John Deer moter hooked up to two large ice cream buckets that spun around mixing the ice and salt and churning the ice cream. Brilliant! Really good too, Jax and I split a large bowl. The cream even stuck to the roof of your mouth...the sign of real home made ice cream! Brent is going to be so jealous as we all know how much he LOVES to make ice cream.

Jude and Jax liked checking out the animals at the Harvest Festival at bayfront on Saturday. Jude wanted a chicken, until he saw the miniature horse and the donkey. The donkey really liked Jax. My luck donkey flu is next and Jax just caught it.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great Labor Day weekend. The weather was beautiful and we took full advantage of it! We spent the majority of the weekend at Ali and Brent's cabin on Sand Lake. Jude and Jax were in their glory, sun, lake, kids, boat rides, schmores, camp fires...we had a blast. Both boys were so worn out by Sunday night we went back to Duluth. I forgot my camera so thank you Alicia for providing pictures of the weekend! Can it be Labor Day weekend again??!!! We are not ready for fall...we finally had a taste of summer and we want schmore.
