PBS Magazine

Jude is going to be on this month's PBS magazine cover. We thought he was the cutest kid there....obviously we were right!

We had a great Sunday fun day. We celebrated our friend Milan's birthday and the end of another Grandma's marathon weekend. It was a great weekend filled with lot's of friends and family. We made the most out of Grandmas weekend with playing at the whippersnapper races on Friday with Judes cousins and then watching the marathon on Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon we danced at the tents to GB Lighton and topped it all off with a bbq on Sunday. Summer is here and we could not be happier!

Happy Summer is here!

Jude has been really busy playing outside since the weather has finally warmmed up. We love our new yard free of rocks and ponds. Lot's of room to run around, it is the best. Now if we could just keep him from running away from us and into the street that would be even better!

Some of Jude's cousins came over for a pre-Grandma's marathon party on Friday. We went to the whippersnapper races had pizza and played outside. It was a really fun day for all of the kids. The dads broke in the new keg-a-rator, so it was a fun day for them too.

Elmo Elmo Every Where

Jude's Auntie Sweetie sent him an Elmo costume among many other Elmo items from CA. Jude really thinks he is great when he wears it. Thank you for all of the Elmo stuff Auntie Sweetie.

I Love My Swing Set

Nana and Papa visited on Sunday and brought stuff down for the Park Point garage sale next weekend (yuck!) Liesl came over and everyone had a fun time playing outside!

PBS Kids Club Circus

Jude had a great time at the PBS, Kids Club Circus on Saturday. He was so excited he did not know which way to go first. He played games...ok, he walked right in front of the kids waiting to play games, grabbed the toy and ran off to the next event. Oh well, we are still working on sharing. No one said anything about standing in line and waiting your turn. I guess that's next. He went inside a fire truck, played with bubbles, ate ice cream and popcorn and fell asleep in the car on the way home. What a great day!

There it is, the patio that was just under 5 years in the making. Not to mention Burke's handy work with the play set.

There is nothing like eating your first corn on the cob of the season outside...on your patio! No more rocks, ponds or plants just concrete and grass, just the way we like it!!!

A baby on the way!

In case we have not told everyone that we know....
We are expecting a baby in November!!! I am about 4 months along and am feeing pretty good. We are really excited and are working on Jude, getting him ready for the task of big brother. He has not totally figured it out yet but he sure knows that he is not as comfortable sitting on his mom's lap in the rocking chair any more. I feel badly when we try to cuddle and rock before bed and he squirms and then points to the crib and says "lay down". Oh well

What a Vacation!!

While in CA we went to Palm Desert and stayed at a beautiful resort (thank you Mike and Sweetie). This is a view of the 11th hole outside our deck. Oh yeah, our child is naked again. Hey, it was really warm out and he had block on.

Burke and Mike had their hands full with the two kids. Jude and Brisa would still be in the pool if we had let them.

Swim Lessons

Jude began swim lessons two weeks ago. The first lesson was well received as Jude just played and did not really pay attention and do what he was suppose to do. But he had fun. And Burke got to swim with all of the Mom's while I took pictures and video. I have a feeling I will be the one in the pool from here on in.

Jude turned 2 over the weekend. We had a fun party with some of his cousins as we were staying there for the weekend. Jude's Nana made him a train cake that was a big hit with all of us kids. Mmmmm, cake.

can you believe the snow?????

Can you even believe the snow that is still up north? I took this picture over the weekend, April 12th. So, crazy and so wrong to have that much snow in April!!

Jude and Rory took a much needed bath after a weekend of playing in the snow, eating cake and causing trouble. Actually, everyone did really well, the kids all played and no major breakdowns...more or less. With that said, I can't wait to go on vacation and give my child to Brent and Ali some day.
