Jude and Jax

We are happy to announce that Jude still likes his brother. However, he has said a couple of times when he wants something that we can "just set him over there" refering to his brother.

Jax now two weeks old

Here is Jax now a whopping two weeks old.

One week old

Here is baby Jax, one week old. He is getting bigger and eating and sleeping better, well kind of. We love the new addition to our family, regardless of the zombie like state we are in. He is beautiful and we love him.

1st snow

Jude went out side to help Burke put away all of the out door things we should have put away last weekend....oh yeah we had a baby last weekend.
So here it is snowing in Duluth on 11/08/08. Our first snow fall of the season. Jude was just excited to wear his snowsuit.

Jax day 5

Lazy morning in bed

All smiles

Jude still likes being a big brother. He is very protective and does not like when people come over and want to hold Jax. He demands that they give his baby back. It is sweet and some what challenging all at the same time.

Waiting for the treaters

Halloween

With the arival of Jax last Saturday I totally forgot about posting some Halloween pictures. Jude had a pretty good time handing out candy at his cousin Liesl's house. If you ask him about Halloween he will tell you "the treaters scared me and took all of the candy". In reality he loved the "treaters" and his last day as an only child.

Brothers

Jude would like to introduce his baby brother, Jax Cope Edgerton. Jax was born on November 1st at 11:59. He was 6.9 pounds and 19 inches long. He is a really good baby and we are so happy to have him join our family. Jude is very excited to be a big brother....we hope it lasts. We are all doing really well and are glad to have our family home.

the three guys

Here are the three Edgerton Men. Good looking group!

Leaving the hospital

We were very excited to leave the hospital....all four of us!

The joys of Fall

Jude was playing with his cousins Ellie and Corbin. They had a huge pile of leaves in their backyard. When Jude turned teh corner from the house and saw all of the leaves he screamed and jumped right in.

Another Sunday Morning

Sunday started out with Jude needing his snomobile suit and then it progressed into his haloween costume, not to sure what his next wardrobe change will be.

Here is our dragon at rest, well not really he is just hanging out and I thought it was a cute picture.

Here we have cooking dragon. Jude was helping make blueberry pancakes on Sunday morning.

Jude and the Conductor

It took three pumpkins, a hay bale and a child to cover up my giant belly. Yep, thats right, still pregnant.

Trying to pick the perfect one.

Giving the Conductor our tickets.

Pumpkin Train

Here is Jude and Burke getting ready to bord the Depot Pumpkin Train. It was fun, I highly suggest it! You get on the train at the depot, take a 20 minute train ride up to a small field in Lakeside, get out, pick out your pumpkin, take a bunch of pictures and ride the train back. It is about a two hour adventure. Perfect for little kids, as any longer and the kids would have been bouncing off the walls; and parents too. Get this, they actually serve beer on the train along with lots of kid snacks. Maybe next year, beer pumpkin train, that has s nice ring to it.

Carving Pumpkins

Jude and Burke are hard at work carving the pumpkins and getting all of the seeds out so that I can cook them and eat them....yumm!

Eeewww goop!

Jude showed his creative side and drew all over one pumpkin with a sharpie and then decided to carve it, with a little help from Mom and Dad. He did not like the "goop" inside the pumpkin but over all it was a pretty fun project. Having the pumpkins lit ourside our door at night is definately the best part.

Good Times

I think Rory is happy about Jude coming over to play.

All Smiles

Jude's cousin Nolin is such a happy little boy he is so full of smiles and hugs. I hope our new addition is as happy and snuggly as Nolin.

Playing with Cousins

Jude could not be happier than when he is playing with other kids. On Sunday he got his fill at his cousins house in virginia. Hammer, check...chainsaw, check.... cool hat with ears on top.....check, what could be better?

Castle Theme

My knight is shining armor. The Duluth Children's Museum had a castle theme on the main floor and a building set theme on the second floor. We had a great time playing there on Saturday. Do you like my new handbag? Frog stuffed animal backpack. It is all the rage among very prego Mom's who need to bring snacks, sippy cups etc... where ever they go. So chick!

Jude's Nanny Karen came along for some afternoon fun.

Jude was cooking in the castle's kitchen. The Duluth Children's Museum does such a nice job, we love going there. Especially on rainy and windy October days.

Driving the John Deer

Jude loved driving his cousin's John Deer battery operated tractor/truck. I over heard Burke asking Jude if he wanted a John Deer to drive at his house. Ummmm, NO! Jude will think he can drive it down park point, Minnesota Avenue, with all of the other cars and trucks. Help me!

No news is sometimes good news

Sorry we did not do anything very exciting this week. Nothing photo worthy anyway. The good news is that baby no name has not made his apperance yet. We have another doc appointment on Tuesday, October 14th and the doc says that if anything happens after that date we will be ok and baby no name can join us in the outside world. However, we would like him to "cook" a little while longer. I have been busy getting things ready, cleaning, cooking and putting baby cloths away so when no name comes we are ready. Burke has been hard at work trying to drum up more ATM business and Jude is always hard at work/play/trouble/fun.
I will try to take some pic this week.....

On our way to Sesame Street Live

We went to Sesame Street Live last night with our friends the Sershon's. It was really fun for Jude, and I would say fun for Burke and I too. Fun watching Jude's reaction to the Sesame Street gang that is. Jude would scream their name when ever they came on stage. You thought Hanna Montana was cool, go to a Sesame Street preformance and watch a couple hundred kids loose their minds when Elmo comes on stage.

Painting

So, I bought Jude some water color paints for "projects". Jude has been getting into projects lately so I have been trying to be as encouraging as possible. It has been fun, shrot lived but fun. So painting on paper only lasted so long...like I said short lived. Oh well.....at least it was not his face.

Hanging out with Nana

Jude and Liesl's Nana was here last weekend and we were lucky enough to have a couple of nice days where we could play outside.

Getting Ready for baby no name

Just a quick update. We are pretty much ready for baby no name to make his entry in to the world. Burke and I were talking and came to the realization that if this birth was the same as Jude's birth, baby no name would be here in 2 to 3 weeks. So we better be ready. We will keep you posted as to when baby no name comes...hopefully, not for a while!

Cooking Helper

Jude's idea of helping cooking is emptying out all of the pots and pans and then usually putting them on his head or standing in them. Nothing like having more dishes to wash....my favorite. He really does like helping in the kitchen, stiring and tasteing seem to be his strong traits.

Transplant Picnic

Jude was having a blast running around and playing at the picnic, which was held at the park at the end of Park Point. Talk about an easy location for us. I hope it is there every year!

Transplant Picinc

Here we are at the Transplant Pinic on Saturday. It was nice to see some familiar faces from previous Transplant events. If you get a chance to....pick up next month's Living North magazine. At the picnic we took a group photo and it is giong to be on the cover of next months magazine. Pretty cool. Our family should be in the left back corner of the photo.
