A baby on the way!

In case we have not told everyone that we know....
We are expecting a baby in November!!! I am about 4 months along and am feeing pretty good. We are really excited and are working on Jude, getting him ready for the task of big brother. He has not totally figured it out yet but he sure knows that he is not as comfortable sitting on his mom's lap in the rocking chair any more. I feel badly when we try to cuddle and rock before bed and he squirms and then points to the crib and says "lay down". Oh well

What a Vacation!!

While in CA we went to Palm Desert and stayed at a beautiful resort (thank you Mike and Sweetie). This is a view of the 11th hole outside our deck. Oh yeah, our child is naked again. Hey, it was really warm out and he had block on.

Burke and Mike had their hands full with the two kids. Jude and Brisa would still be in the pool if we had let them.

Another Birthday

Swim Lessons

Jude began swim lessons two weeks ago. The first lesson was well received as Jude just played and did not really pay attention and do what he was suppose to do. But he had fun. And Burke got to swim with all of the Mom's while I took pictures and video. I have a feeling I will be the one in the pool from here on in.

Jude turned 2 over the weekend. We had a fun party with some of his cousins as we were staying there for the weekend. Jude's Nana made him a train cake that was a big hit with all of us kids. Mmmmm, cake.

can you believe the snow?????

Can you even believe the snow that is still up north? I took this picture over the weekend, April 12th. So, crazy and so wrong to have that much snow in April!!

time to clean up

Jude and Rory took a much needed bath after a weekend of playing in the snow, eating cake and causing trouble. Actually, everyone did really well, the kids all played and no major breakdowns...more or less. With that said, I can't wait to go on vacation and give my child to Brent and Ali some day.

Who needs a tan when spaghetti sauce will give you all the color you need? If you have not tried it, trust me you will remain orange for some time. Until your mom makes you take a bath that is....

Liesl and Jude had a great time playing at the tot lot this week. We are so happy to see the snow melt and the sun shine. Is summer really coming???

Trent and Brita's wedding day!!!

What a busy Easter weekend!!!

We had a busy and wonderful Easter weekend.
Jude was lucky enough to go to the waterpark on Saturday, have a special Birthday dinner for his Granny/Nanny Karen that evening at the Pickwick (with only one major breakdown) and then have Easter and his cousin Rory's birthday on Sunday. How do you top that?

Jude had a blast playing at the water park with his cousins. He was very angry with us when it was time to go. We definately have ourselves a water baby.

Jude was busy on Saturday playing outside. It was a nice day....for Duluth that is.

First Snowmobile Adventure!!

Jude and his pal Cody are looking on as their Dad's get the snowmobiles ready for their first ride together. The guys took the boys for a ride, about 5 miles, to a snowmobile rally that was held near Cody's house. The guys and boys had a great time. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, it was about 30 degrees and the boys could run around outside and play. Both Cody and Jude were tuckered out and fell asleep on the snowmobiles on the ride home. It was a great day!!
