Afternoon at the Beach

Oh what a beautiful day!!! Burke was able to get done with work a bit early and we all went to the beach today and played in the water and enjoyed a perfect Duluth day....since we only get about 10 per year we had to take advantage of it. This was Jax's first trip to the beach. The water was a bit cold for him but Jude was running in and out regardless of the water temp. The evening was topped off with a bbq and eating outside on the patio with the fellas. Does not get much better!

Whipper Snapper Race

The marathon has all sorts of different races over the weekend. Here Jude and Liesl ran in the Whipper Snapper Race. Every child gets a number, a ribbon at the end a a great goodie bag at the end. It was so Cute Jude was so excited and proud. he keeps telling everyone that he won. Here Jax is taking part in the napping portion of the race. He won.

Grandmas Marathon

Well another Grandma's Marathon has come and gone. This time I actually ran the full instead of the usual half. I will never do that again. It was 92 degrees when I finished, it was awful. People were dropping like fly's out on the race course. I can not even tell you how many ambulance's I saw today. It was fun to see Jude toward the end he was so sweet, he came running up to me and hugged me and started to cry, which made me cry. I carried him with me for a little bit on the course, he thought all the cheering fans were just for me and that I won....hey, I don't want to burst his bubble so we will just go with that...I won.

Jax

here is our big guy sitting in the stroller. Notice he is sitting on his own, more or less. He is doing more and more on his own. Like crawling backwards and by backwards I mean on his back...he arched his back, pushes with his feet and his arms flap around like he is swimming. I have to get it on video one of these days.

Good Morning Granny

Jude likes to bring the newspaper to his Granny in the mornings. This morning she beat him to the punch and came downstairs.

I want to hold him

Jude wants to hold his squirmy brother more and more. The only problem is that Jax is getting more difficult to hold every day. He wants to crawl, walk and run right now, and yells at us when he can not get what he wants. It is pretty funny!

Bath Time

Jude and Lisel had to clean up after a messy afternoon outside.

Playing in the Pool

Ingrid giving us her best chocolate face grin

Ingrid sharing her cupcake with Jax...how cute.

We spent the afternoon on Sunday at our friends Tiegen, Susie and Ingrid's house swimming. The neighbors the Benson's came over too...their kids are Jude and Jax age so all of the kids had a great time. Jude was pretty excited about the swimming pool. But the highlight might have been the chocolate cupcakes. Needless to say Ingrid's house is the best place ever and Jude wants to go back. Chocolate cupcakes and swimming oh and they have two dogs too. We were lucky to get Jude to come home with us. If there would have been dinasours or pirates we would still be there.

Mmmm brownies

Jude likes to cook when iot involves stiring and tasting...especially anything chocolate. Here my helper is making sure the brownie batter is ok.

Sitting on my own...with pillows

Jax is getting better and better at sitting on his own. Pillows are still necessary as he flings himself backwards...we dont need any head injuries.

ECFE Picnic

ECFE - "school" as we call it. Had it's end of the year picnic ths past week. Jude was all over playing on the playground and stearing clear of some of the big kids who(in my opinion) were not very well behaved. They were playing angry tag. They would wack eachother really hard and yell 'angry tag'. Momma did not like angry tag!!! So we went to the other playground area where Jude was one of the bigger kids and there was no angry tag going on.

7 months old

Jax is getting so big so fast. He is rolling all over. We can not leave him alone for a monute or he wedges himself under a chair or something. He is getting the leggs and arms going but does not put it all together to actually crawl. Soon, I have no doubt. Jax loves his brother so much and wants to be near him and watch Jude's every move. Those two will be trouble together I can already tell.

Big Boat

The picture does not do it justice.... A 1000 foot orr boat was leaving Duluth the other day, and a bunch of sail boats were near it, anyway, it looked so cool but the picture does not caputre the true cool-ness of the moment. But i added it anyway for those of you who have seen this kind of Duluth moment before can appreciate it.

The pictures are all out of wack. I was not paying close attention to my posts as I had a three year old sitting behind me pulling at my arms and wanting to play dinasours. So I am sorry if the order does not make sense, at least I got new pictures added.

Memorial weekend/cal's birthday

Mmmmm Cake

We celebrated Cal's birthday early since Amand Brian and Cal leave on Thursday for their new home in Connecticut...sad!! We will miss them a ton. Web cam conversations here we come!!!

Cal on the Beach

Cal, Jude and Jax's cousin was enjoying the day in the sun too. It was a beautiful day. Can you believe the kids were in the water???!! BURRR

Jax even hung out outside for most of the day.

Jude caught his first fish

Jude caught his first fish at Alicia and Brent's cabin over Memorial weekend. I am sure I was more excited than Jude but he was pretty excited too. When we called Burke to tell him that Jude caught a fish he got on the phone and told Burke that he was eating cookies. I had to prompt Jude to tell dad that he cought a fish. It was funny...

Yeah warm weather!

Ultimate player in the making

Jude and Uncle Dave were throwing "disks" otherwise known as frisbees last week on one of the warmer days. We all went down to the end of park point and had a picnic dinner and played. Great evening!

Three guys

Jax is grabbing Burke's beer bottle...oh no!!!

It started already

It started already....my son frowning when asked to smile for a picture.
