SNOW SNOW SNOW!!!

It has been snowing BIG fluffly flakes for a couple of days now and we LOVE it!
The boys were up at 6:00 and outside playing in the snow by 7:30. We have not had any real fun fluffly snow this year so we are going to play in it as much as possible

Skiing at Giants Ridge

We had a beautiful say skiing at Giants Ridge. Jax advanced to the bigger hill and the J bar. Jude took the chairlift for the first time. The smile on Judes face says it all. He was thrilled to be riding up high next to the tree tops. Papa, Mia, Ellie, and our family ejoyed fresh snow, and a super fun day!!!

Snow storm...finally

On February 29th we finally had our first real snow storm. One day we were looking at grass and the next 15 inches of snow.

Nana Birthday and Rory vs Jude hockey game

On Nana's birthday not only did we celebrate her day we watched the best hockey game ever! The Mite 1 Glen Avon, Black vs the Might 1 Virginia Blue Devils. It was an intense game. I think we laughed more than anything. The boys had a blast playing with and against each other. Jax even went out on the big ice. He spent most of his time spinning in circles.

Parent Kid hockey game

At the end of the hockey season we have the parent vs. kid hockey game. It was a great time! Jude told me that he was going to take me down. What a nice thing to say to your mom, HA! All four of us took to the ice along with Champ the Bulldog. I think the kids won, we will get them next year!

Go, Glen Avon Hockey!

Jude had his first hockey tournmant this weekend and scored two goals in the Sunday game. This is the first real goal he has ever scored since begining hockey last year. He is so excited and can't stop talking about it. Burke and I are pretty excited too. Jax does not really care, he just wanted candy from the consession stand.

Jude school project

Jude had to create a picture of himself and answer some questions. Mos kids wanted to be a docotr or a police officer when they grow up. Jude wants to be a super hero. SWEET!

Skiing at Giants Ridge

Jude Jax and I went to the Ridge the other weekend for some skiing with the cousins. Jude is really catching on and is begging me to go up the chairlift. And Jax is also getting the hang of it. He has mastered teh magic carpet and little hill.

Future Bulldogs, and Jed

We watched a friends dog for two days now Jude and Jax and even Burke all think we need a dog. AH, nope. I love dogs and do one one when we have more room but right now is not the time. If we could keep Jed I might reconsider.

Nut Cup!

Here is Jax with his favorite Christmas gift, the Nut Cup.

Christmas 2011

We started our Christmas celebration with Burke's mom, Trent and Brita. We had a nice dinner followed by the ever anticipated present opening. The boys were super excited as they are every year. They ripped the packages open and played into the evening as the adults stuffed themselves with more and more and more yummy food. Christmas morning Jude was teh first one up shortly after six. He walked out into the living room turned around and said, see mom, I told you that I have been good! Jax woke with in minutes of Jude yelling with excitement. Jax the more reserved of the tow took his time looking around and observing the scene before choosing what to do first. Soon enough they were both tearing packages open and playing with their new favorite things. Jax got his nut cup so all is well in his world! We took the short drive up north for the afternoon and the boys got their third round of gifts. They were both excited as were their coudins to have received their own tackle boxes filled with tackle for fishing with Papa this summer and the summers to come. They all also received a new fishing rod; Oh the excitement! We all ate too much good food, shared some laughs and visited Grandma Great. The kids played outside and made a fort whie the adults ate more food and laughed some more. It was another perfect holiday!
