Old Fashioneds

We had aninteresting week. It was one of the busiest weeks of the year for me with work, Burke was crazy busy with the ATM's and the boys had all their sports jam packed in there too. So for Jude to come down with the flu was a bummer. Jude passsed it on to Burke, who then did not attend the holiday formal we go to every year. I went solo, not really my dates Pat and Lynne Bailey were fantastic, they even picked me up in the limo. Not a bad way to travel.
I came home in time to take care of Jax who threw up around 3am (but doing much better already this morning) and then much to my demise I caught the flu this morning. What a week.

Funny Boys

Jude always singing and dancing. And Jax my helper. He wants to help all of the time. Here he was "helping" do dishes.

Let the Holidays begin!

After a great THanksgiving on Thursday and another visit to Bentlyville we were in the spirit! We dug out the tree (I want a real one next year) decorated it put up lights and set out a bunch of the holiday "stuff". Jude has been playing with the manger and the nutcracker in typical 4 year old boy fashion. The nutcracker is bad and he is busting into the manger and the sheep and cows come to the rescue. Jax goes along with what ever Jude is doing so he just yells bad bad bad at the nutcracker. Poor nutcracker, do you think I will get them to watch the nutcracker ballet so that they understand that the nutcracker saves Clara from the evil rat king. probably not. However there is a battle and they have sowrds so I might have a chance.

So much to be thankful for...

Thanksgiving 2010!!! ANother successfull family get together. Burke and Brent cooked a turkey to perfection and also did a wonderful job on the applewood pork loin too! Papa and Mia mashed the last of Papa's garden potatoes, Jodie kept us healthy with our vegetables and Dana's deserts were awsome. Karen brought some seriously delicious rasberry creamcheese pies, sooooo gooood!
The kids were great we had a blast. The only thing missing was Nana, Amanda, Brian and Cal. They were and still are waiting for their little turkey to come.

Bentlyville

Another fantastic year at Bentlyville here in Duluth. It is truly unbelievable how they get that entire display up and maintain it. Thoes volunteers are wonderful people and we are very thankful! We have already been to Bentlyville twice and it has only been open for a week. I am sure we will go many more times before Christmas. It is magical!!!

Ironman Jax

Ironman is ready to take on the world after a big breakfast.

Fancy Jax

Jude and Jax both like to go into my closet and grab high heels (otherwise known as "loud shoes") and stomp around the house. I caught Jax getting ready to stomp around on the tile floor.

Happy Birthday Jax

Jax had two birthday parties this year since he is two. (kidding) However, he did have two parties. Here are some pictures from his second birthday party with his cousins and Nana.

Happy Birthday Jax

Jax turned 2 on Monday, 11/01/2010. He got some pretty great things, skates, magna tiles and 2 parties. He caught on this year and would sing with us when we sang happy birthday. He particularly enjoyed opening presents. He is such a fun little guy. He has a temper like you would not believe but he is also the sweetest little boy you could ever meet. Jax is very proud to be two and we are so lucky to have our big boy, 2 year old.

Happy Halloween

Here are the boys at their Granny's house and then off to cousin Liesl's for some trick or treating. Jude has not ever really gone trick or treating to multiple houses in a row. He was beyond excited when we went to about 10 houses and they all gave him candy. After each house he would turn to me and say, "Mom, this is the greatest thing ever!" Jude proceeded to get more and more excited with every house and each new kid in a costume, he was actually screaming, not talking after about 15 minutes. It was so funny!
